How it works

Back a team

Pick the club you actually support. A-League, Super Rugby, the NPC. Your team's form and following decide how fast you earn.

Earn points

Watch a short clip from a sponsor. Call the score before kick-off. Turn up at the ground. Each one adds points.

Spend them locally

Convert points into a voucher and use it at a bar, café or shop near your ground. The business gets a customer; you get a pint.

Your points are backed by real money. Here's the split.

Most loyalty schemes never tell you what a point is worth or where it comes from. We'd rather just show you.

Every point a fan holds is backed by money already in that pool.
We can't hand out more than we've been paid.

A point is worth a fixed amount. Always. It doesn't rise, and it can't fall. There's nothing to speculate on — you can just spend it.

What does change is how fast you earn. Back a team a lot of people support, or one that's on a winning run, and each thing you do earns you more.

Back a smaller club and you're sharing a smaller pool with fewer people — so your slice is bigger. Being an underdog supporter actually pays.

Plenty of things dressed up as "fan tokens" have burned people. We built this so it can't.

Who's behind this

StadiaFi is built in Auckland by Matt — a one-person team, and a sports fan first. It's a registered New Zealand company, not an anonymous project: the details are below, and you're welcome to check them.

That also means when you email, you're talking to the person who built the thing — not a support queue. If something's broken or unclear, I'd rather hear it.

It started from a simple annoyance: fans put in the time, the noise and the money, and the value all flows the other way. Local businesses sponsor clubs and have no idea whether it works. Both problems have the same fix.

Is this gambling?Fans
No. There's nothing to stake and nothing to lose. A point is worth a fixed amount that never rises or falls, so there's nothing to speculate on. You earn points by backing your team and taking part, and you spend them on real things at local businesses. It's a loyalty programme, closer to airline points than to a bet.
What does it cost me to join?Fans
Nothing. Signing up is free and it always will be. You earn points by taking part, not by paying in — there's no wallet to top up and no card required.
What can I actually get with my points?Fans
Rewards from local businesses near your team — a coffee, a discount, something on the house. The specific offers depend on which businesses have joined in your area, and the list grows as more come on board during the pilot.
Which teams and sports can I back?Fans
The Auckland pilot centres on the Bunnings NPC rugby season, alongside A-League football, Super Rugby and the Chatham Cup. You can back a side in any of them. We're starting deliberately small and focused rather than trying to cover everything at once.
What does it cost a business to take part?Business
Founding partners pay $49/month including GST during the pilot, with no joining fee, no commission on redemptions, and no minimum term. The one other cost is the margin on whatever offer you choose to give away. Full detail is on the for business page.
Does a business need any hardware or an app?Business
No. Nothing to install, no POS integration, no terminal. When a fan redeems, their phone shows a live countdown screen — your staff look at it and hand over the item. If you ever want to check a code, there's a page at stadiafi.com/verify that works on any phone with no login.
How do you make money?General
From businesses and sponsors, not from fans. Fans join free. Local businesses pay a small monthly fee to be part of the rewards network, and that's what keeps the lights on. We also produce anonymised, aggregated insights about fan engagement — never anything that identifies you personally. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Who's behind it, and is it a real company?General
StadiaFi Limited is a registered New Zealand company, incorporated in Auckland in October 2025. It's built by one person — Matt — so when you get in touch, you're talking to the person who made it.
